Access to suitable storage facilities is a major hindrance to the productivity of most small scale farmers.
USAID-COMPETE has since October 2009 supported CGA to facilitate the establishment of MoSS in both Trans Mara and Kongwa Districts in Kenya and Tanzania respectively.
Such MoSS wil be used as hubs for former mobilization and training on Market information systems and Post Harvest Handling skills. The second grant comes to an end in February 2012.
David Nyameino will be attending a Cereal Future Forum in Monheim/Bermany from 2nd-4th November 2011, the conference will focus on ghe global challenges and opportunities facing cereals.
