CGA held its last field day of the year on 27th October 2016 at Kapsuswa Farm, Uasin Gishu. The field day which attracted over 1000 farmers focused mainly on the maize production and management . The farm management team lead by Mr. Charles Boit took farmers through the whole maize farming process from land preparation, planting seeds to harvesting and adding value. They also shared valuable information on some of the techniques they used in Kapsuswa to make their land viable for good production. Farmers got a first hand opportunity to learn about the new technologies that would enable them to improve the maize production and make maize farming sustainable.
The field day whose theme was “Innovative Technologies for Enhanced Agricultural productivity” was organised in partnership with the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Fisheries, Uasin Gishu County and USAID-Kenya Agricultural Value Chains Enterprise(KAVES) Project.
